About our workshop

About our workshop and our values

My name is Vladimir. Our workshop was founded in 2013,

With more than 10 years of experience in the restoration industry, we decided to restore antique doors to their original condition. Our goal is to ensure that your door preserves its history, remains strong and reliable, making your home more valuable. In our workshop, we have restored hundreds of doors of various types from all over Slovenia, and we will gladly write your door down in our history.

Workshop “R.V.” are craftsmen with knowledge and skills in the field of ancient technologies of furniture making, art history, carpentry and turning, carving, polishing, gilding and other unique professions, who have become almost a family, united by a common thing – restoration and preservation of family and cultural values in Slovenia.

Our restoration team strives to provide personalized service and attention to detail, ensuring that each restored piece is restored to its original appearance while preserving the nuanced traces of time and life of the piece, restoring its strength and durability.

In our work, we adhere to the following principles: respect for history and tradition, attention to detail, continuous learning and improvement, work ethic (do not harm the object), honesty and conscientiousness (respecting deadlines, transparency at all stages), striving to meet the needs of customers .

Our customers

Most of our customers are those who are aware of the value of antique doors and try to preserve them. Many old doors have not only family, but also historical and cultural value for our country.

It should be noted that the material value of ancient front doors has increased significantly in the last decade. Ever since the new modern metal doors began to erase the history of our ancestors. Therefore, do not rush to get rid of poorly maintained doors that have served your home for many years. By preserving and restoring these doors, you can preserve history and add value to your home.

BASE

A small restoration workshop was established with the aim of preserving antique entrance doors in Slovenia.

EXPANSION

With growth, orders began to arrive not only for front doors, but regular orders appeared for the restoration of windows, interior doors, wooden stairs, various chests of drawers, wardrobes, antique bedside tables, etc. Thanks to this, we have revived a huge number of antique objects.

GROWTH OF THE WORKSHOP

The workshop began to actively accept orders for restoration throughout Slovenia. We started accepting orders from state institutions in which it was necessary to restore the entrance doors of historical importance.

LEADING WORKSHOP IN QUALITY

Throughout the history of our operation, our workshop has gained the respect of customers, good recommendations and stability. As trained restorers, we began to be attracted to buildings such as castles and museums, where each object has a great value, behind which there is a whole history.

Each item to be restored is unique. In this regard, the costs of restoration work are calculated separately in each case.

Renovation prices depend on many factors, such as:

  • the condition of the furniture itself;
  • the nature of the damage (presence of cracks, chips, violation of decorative elements, veneer condition, etc.);
  • complexity of renovation works;
  • usage of consumable material in the restoration process.

Each object needs an individual approach and individual methods of restoration. There are no fixed prices for such works.
Therefore, it is difficult to indicate a certain amount of labor costs in a telephone conversation, and sometimes even an approximate one.

The conditions of restoration directly depend on the complexity and scope of the restoration work.

Each restoration begins with a preliminary inspection of the item to more objectively assess its condition. During the inspection, you can accurately determine the cost of restoring the item. Since the external condition of the object, the condition of key elements and the integrity of the carpentry structure can be inferred from the photograph, the presence of internal hidden defects remains unclear.
